CIC Jiangsu Issues 10000 TEU Container Management Norms

As the construction of 10000 TEU container vessels carries on step by step, with the purpose of ‘perfecting three-in-one management system, improving the 10000 TEU container management level’, 18 relevant departments of China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd (CICJS) acted with united strength and completed the compilation of 4 levels, 12 categories, 66 record tables, 126 documents and issued the ‘10000 TEU container management norms’.

Under the guidance of the management goal, on the basis of the existing ‘three-in-one’ management system and regulations, CICJS made ‘10000 TEU container management norms’ in allusion to the actual construction and management situation of 10000 TEU containers, built a multi-level management framework in order to direct and control the 10000 TEU container construction management of various stages with the standard procedure documents and ensured that the construction management has rules to follow, and is well documented.

In order to make the ‘10000 TEU container management norms’ effectively implemented, on July 1st CICJS held a meeting about promoting the implementation of management norms. The meeting stressed that the dynamic management of 10000 TEU container management norms must be done well, according to the stage control characteristics and the request of the construction of 10000 TEU containers and the daily supplement. In addition, amendment and perfection of the documents must be carried out and the assessment standard must be established and improved.

By continuously finding, analyzing and solving the problems, continuous improvement can be achieved. The shipbuilding process  can be further controlled and all kinds of tasks around the ship construction can be completed orderly and efficiently so that the company’s product upgrading, transformation and development can be ensured.
