The well 25/7-8 S belongs to production license 917, for which ConocoPhillips is the operator. The well has been given the prospect name of Enniberg.

The location where well 25/7-8 S is to be drilled is in the middle of the northern section of the North Sea, slightly west of the Balder/Ringhorne and Grane fields. Water depth at the site is 126 meters.

The PSA said on Tuesday that the drilling is scheduled to begin in October 2019 and is estimated to last at least 55 days. The consent also applies to the drilling of a possible sidetrack.

The well 25/7-8 S is to be drilled using the Leiv Eiriksson drilling rig.

The Leiv Eiriksson is a semi-submersible drilling rig of the SS Trosvik Bingo 9000 type, owned and operated by Ocean Rig. The rig received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in July 2008.
