EWC: Senkang LNG project progresses

Energy World Corporation reported significant progress on its Senkang LNG project in Indonesia. 

According to the company, several construction milestones have been achieved on site including the erection of a further two 0.5 mtpa cold boxes (total of four cold boxes now erected) and associated compressors.

Construction progress also includes completion of the Slipforming of the 88,800 cbm LNG tank wall and ring beam, the 150 kV switchyard, fabrication of the processing piping and the jetty loading platform and hydraulic marine loading facilities.

Works scheduled for the next phase of construction include the erection and installation od the processing pipe works, the structural completion of the LNG tank roof and mechanical and electrical works for balance of the plant.

The Senkang LNG project is being developed on the South Sulawesi coastline as a part of a regional LNG hub.

It consists of one modular LNG train with a capacity of 0.5 mtpa. The project could add three additional trains, depending on the gas field development, for a potential total LNG capacity of 2 mtpa.
