Explosion Hits Vessel at Bulgarian Shipyard
An explosion has occurred on board a vessel at Terem Shiprepair Yard in Varna, Bulgaria, according to a statement issued by Varna Municipality.
The incident was reported on April 3, while the ship arrived at the shiprepair yard a day earlier.
There were no injuries reported, Varna Municipality’s press office said.
Teams of the Regional Directorate Fire Safety and Population Protection are working on site.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
World Maritime News contacted Terem Shiprepair Yard for more details on the matter, however, the company is yet to reply.
