FERC Approves Increase in Sabine Pass LNG Production Capacity

U.S. FERC approved Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC’s application to increase the total LNG production capacity for Stages 1 and 2 (Trains 1-4) of its LNG export project in Cameron Parish, La. from 2.2 to 2.76 Bcf/day.

The proposed change does not involve the construction of new facilities or the modification of previously authorized facilities”, Sabine Pass said in a statement.

The proposed LNG production capacity of approximately 2.76 Bcf per day represents the combined, maximum or peak capacity of the four LNG trains based on the final, optimized design of the Liquefaction Project, including the facilities approved through the Commission’s implementation plan review process, rather than conservatively estimated nominal capacity,” the company added.
