First CNPC Made Jack-Up Drilling Rig CP-300 Becomes Operational

The first CNPC made jack-up drilling rig CP-300 was brought into use at the Bohai Bay’s new Panjin Port, Liaoning Province Sept 24th 2012. CNPC Vice President Li Xinhua attended the delivery ceremony and cut the cable. CP-300 jack-up rig, independently designed and manufactured by CNPC Bohai Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd, is applicable to shallow water exploration and production at any unrestricted navigating zone globally.

All the indexes of CP-300 are industrial leading both at home and abroad, with maximum operating water depth of 300 feet (91.44 meters), nominal drilling depth of 30,000ft (9,000 meters), once in place 30 wells drillable, and accommodation of 105. The successful delivery of CP-300 is significant for revitalizing the industrial base of the Panjin City as well as Liaoning Province, and boosting CNPC’s equipment manufacturing sector.

Additionally, the more advanced CP-400, also designed and manufactured by CNPC Bohai Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd, has passed the examination and verification of classification societies in China, USA and Norway, and will soon be listed in CNPC’s manufacturing products.
