EDF Says Dunkirk LNG Start in 2015

EDF’s Chief Executive Henri Proglio said today that the Dunkirk LNG terminal will start operating in 2015, Reuters reported.

French utility EDF owns 65 percent in the LNG terminal, while Fluxys G has a 25 percent interest and Total 10 percent.

EDF in June made a final investment decision on the Dunkirk LNG project with a total investment of €1 billion.

The Dunkirk LNG terminal will have an annual re-gasification capacity of 13Gm3 and will increase the import capacity for LNG into France by nearly 20%.
