Gazprom’s year-to-date natural gas production up

Russian giant Gazprom said its natural gas production during the past eleven months of 2019 had hit an estimated 454.2 billion cubic meters of gas.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2018, this represents an increase of three billion cubic meters or 0.7 percent.

Gazprom said in its statement that the demand for natural gas from the national gas transmission system remained at last year’s level.

Gazprom’s gas deliveries to Europe amounted to 178.5 billion cubic meters, around 99.3 percent of the amount delivered in the first eleven months in the record year of 2018, and up by 1.8 percent versus the same period of 2017.

However, the company increased its gas exports to several countries this year, specifically to Austria by 31.4 percent, to Hungary by 38.5 percent, to the Netherlands by 35.7 percent, to Slovakia by 40.6 percent, to the Czech Republic by 28.2 percent, and France by eight percent.
