Geoquip Saentis Finalizes Its First Geotechnical Job in North Sea

Operations & Maintenance

Geoquip Marine’s DP2 multi-purpose offshore support vessel, the Geoquip Saentis, has completed its first geotechnical campaign in the North Sea.

The vessel started the work in June, following a major overhaul.

Operations involved drilling over 2,000 meters and acquiring more than 1,400 high quality samples and over 900 meters of seismic PCPT data.

The project was completed safely and on time, Geoquip Marine said on its social media.

The vessel is currently crossing the Atlantic to its next site investigation in North America.

The Geoquip Saentis joined Geoquip Marine’s fleet in March of this year. At 80m length and 18m beam the vessel provides a platform for offshore geotechnical operations, allowing seabed PCPT equipment and ROV to be mobilized alongside the GMR600.
