Greek Shipowners Purchase Two Bulkers

Greek shipowners seem to be continuing with their shopping spree of second hand bulk carriers .

Two vessels, CURIA and MAHA AVANTI, became property of Greek shippers last week, Lion Shipbrokers said in their latest Weekly Report.

Namely, 51,029 dwt modern supramax CURIA has been sold for USD 13.9 million. The vessel was built in Oshima, Japan in 2001. The owner has waived physical inspection, Clarksons reports. The 189.99 meters long vessel was previously owned by Loxodrome Shipping AG and operated by Zurich Reederei.

Handymax bulker MAHA AVANTI, a 43,469 dwt bulk carrier, reportedly, has been sold to Albamar Shipping Company for USD 5.8 million. The vessel was built at Tsuneishi Shipbuilding, Japan for Five Stars Shipping Company based in Mumbai, India.
