The jacket sailed away from Heerema’s yard in Hartlepool on Tuesday, the company informed through social media.

Tulip Oil Netherlands Offshore (TONO) awarded Heerema the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for the topside and jacket of the Q10-A platform in January this year.

The topside of the platform will have a weight of approximately 500 tonnes, while the jacket weights around 600 tonnes and will stand in 21 meters of water.

The platform forms a part of a Q10 gas field, operated by TONO with 60% interest, with Energie Beheer Nederland holding the remaining interest.

The Q10 gas field development encompass the Q10-A unmanned offshore platform with a pipeline tie back to the TAQA operated P15d platform.

First gas is expected in 2019.
