High shipping, port fees hurt Vietnamese businesses

Businesses in Vietnam are shouldering the heavy burden of too many port fees for exporting or importing goods, which they say is shrinking their profits and hurting their competitiveness. For example, to transport a container of goods to a port for shipping, an exporter has to pay at least seven fees at 1.35 to 2.1 million VND (85 to 133 USD), businesses said.
