Wilhelmsen takes over Unitor

Venerable Norwegian shipowning company Wilh Wilhelmsen said Monday that it was taking over maritime supplier Unitor. Wilhelmsen already has agreements to buy more than 90 percent of Unitor’s shares. Wilhelmsen is paying NOK 73.50 per share, which values the takeover at nearly NOK 1.3 billion (USD 200 million). It has struck deals to buy the shares held by Unitor’s largest shareholders, Umoe Industri AS, Norway’s state insurance fund and Odin Forvaltning.
