Volvo Ocean Race winner Mike Sanderson joins British America’s Cup team

Volvo Ocean Race winner Mike Sanderson has joined a British bid to win the America’s Cup sailing regatta as team director, TeamOrigin announced Thursday.

The team was set up in January in hopes of bringing the Auld Mug to Britain for the first time in the competition’s 155-year history. Sanderson was its first key appointment.
