Petronet LNG Profit Climbs

Petronet LNG of India, the country’s largest LNG importer, posted a net profit of Rs. 3185.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2012, up 7.8 percent as compared to Rs. 2953.80 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

Total Income has increased from Rs. 63466.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 to Rs. 84376.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.

Petronet LNG recently said that GSPC has booked a capacity of 2.25 MMTPA on a long-term and firm basis in the company’s Dahej terminal.

The company has set up the country’s first LNG receiving and regasification terminal at Dahej, Gujarat, and it plans to commission its second LNG terminal at Kochi, Kerala by end of March.
