InterOil Corporation said that according to the information provided by Total, the operator of the PRL 15 in Papua New Guinea, the Antelope-7 appraisal well has not intersected the Antelope reservoir.

According to Total’s information, the well has now reached 2,127 meters measured depth below rotary table without intersecting the Antelope reservoir.

The well is designed to provide structural control and reservoir definition on the field’s western flank. It has a proposed total depth of around 2,300 meters, InterOil said in a statement.

It is located about 1.45 kilometers west-south-west of Antelope-5 that flowed at an average of 53.3 million standard cubic feet gas per day during extended flow testing in March this year.

InterOil holds a 36.5375 percent interest in the well, Total E&P PNG has a 40.1275 percent interest, Oil Search holds 22.8350 percent with the remaining 0.5000 percent being held by minority parties.
