Iran: IGEDC Investing $6 Billion in Gas Projects

 

About six billion dollars will be invested in construction of new gas pipelines and gas compressors over the next two years, managing director of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC), Mr. Gharibi announced here.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, he said that 2.7 thousand kilometers of high pressure gas pipeline and 19 new gas compressors would be constructed over the period.

He also went on to say that continuation of seventh trans-Iranian gas pipeline construction with a length of 540 kilometers from Iranshahr city to Zahedan city and another pipeline to Pakistan border, sixth trans-Iranian gas pipeline with a length of 600 kilometers from Dehgolan region to Ahmaz city in southwestern part of the county and construction of a 30 inches 90 kilometers gas pipeline in the southeastern city of Chabahar are among the projects the company has decided to implement in next two years.

It’s worth mentioning that this year different projects came online including seventh trans-Iranian gas pipeline with 1.7 billion dollar investment, the second north-northeast country’s gas pipeline with 500 million dollars investment, the second gas pipeline of Khorramabad city with 130 million dollars and some other projects.

The largest gas compressor station in Middle East in Saveh city in the central Iranian Province of Markazi along with launching some other gas compressors across the country were among the other projects came online during the eleven months of the current Iranian calendar year.
