Iran: Petroleum Ministry Plans to Attract USD 50 Billion for South Pars

The ministry of petroleum plans to attract $50 billion by which development of most remaining phases of the South Pars gas field will come to an end, Iran’s minister of petroleum, Rostam Qasemi announced.

He went on to say that, the petroleum ministry plans on funding other oil and gas fields would be announced in the near future, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

He further said that the South Pars gas field’s phases 15 and 16 would become operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 2012).
