LNG terminal developer, Inpex, on Thursday said it has begun supplying Nissan Chemical Industries with natural gas through the Toyama Line extension completed in June.

With the start of natural gas supply to Nissan Chemical Industries, Inpex has partially commenced operation of the newly built pipeline, and is expecting to begin supplying additional users in the near future, Inpex said in its statement.

According to the company’s plans, natural gas supply to Nihonkai Gas should start in October, when the pipeline is scheduled to commence full operations.

The Toyama Line is a 103 km extension of the natural gas trunk pipeline network supplying natural gas from the Naoetsu LNG terminal in Joetsu City, Japan.
