Japan’s Osaka Gas said on Wednesday its sales volumes for the month of February totaled 812 million cubic meters, 0.5 percent down from the same month in 2015.

Gas sales in the residential sector declined 5.2 percent to 280 million from 295 million cubic meters in the same month in 2015, Osaka Gas’ monthly report reveals.

Gas volumes sold in the industrial sector rose 3.8 percent from 337 million cubic meters in February 2015 to 350 million in the same month 2016.

Osaka Gas imports about 7.9 million tons per year, or 9 percent of Japan’s total LNG imports, from the Middle East (Qatar and Oman), Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei), Australia and Russia, according to the company’s website.
