Japan: September LNG Imports Up YoY

Japan’s LNG imports reached 7.13 million tonnes in September, a rise of 6,3 percent compared to the year before, according to data released by the finance ministry.

The average LNG import price for Japan was $16.822/mmBtu in September.

The country’s monthly LNG imports have been rising steadily year on year, due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011.
