Japan: Tokyo Gas July Sales Up 2.1 Pct

Total gas sales volume by Japan’s Tokyo Gas for the month of July 2013 came to about 1,113.664 million m3, up 2.1% from July 2012.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 156.467 million m3, down 11.3% from July 2012, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 224.621 million m3, up 2.1% from July 2012.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 552.238 million m3, up 6.5% from July 2012, leading to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 180.336 million m3, up 2.4% from July 2012, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
