Tokyo Gas Receives First Cargo from Pluto LNG Project

Tokyo Gas  received today the LNG cargo from the Pluto LNG project, which Woodside Energy promoted in the state of Western Australia, at the Tokyo Gas Sodegaura LNG Terminal in Sodegaura city, Chiba prefecture, Japan.

This is the first time for Tokyo Gas to receive the LNG cargo from the Project.

The Project is located off the coast of Karratha in the northwestern part of Western Australia State, and started production in April, 2012. Tokyo Gas concluded the contracts of sales and purchase of interest as well as of LNG in August, 2007.

The LNG cargo Tokyo Gas received today had been transported by the vessel of Tokyo Gas, “Energy Horizon”, and contains approximately 78 thousand tons of LNG. This amount of LNG corresponds to the annual consumption volume of a quarter of a million standard households, when supplied as city gas.
