Klaipedos Nafta slices NIB loan

Klaipedos Nafta on Wednesday said it has cut the loan amount agreed with the Nordic Investment Bank in November 2014.

Under the initial loan deal, NIB provided a EUR 34.8 million loan to finance Lithuania’s first LNG terminal at the port of Klaipeda.

Klaipedos Nafta said in a statement that, due to a decrease of the investments in the LNG terminal project compared to the previous forecasts, the amount of the loan has been decreased to EUR 22 million.

The operator of the Lithuanian LNG terminal added that it has also agreed to prolong the availability period to use the credit until December 31, 2016.
