Kogas June LNG sales down

South Korea’s Kogas, the world’s largest corporate buyer of LNG, said its LNG sales volume totaled 2.09 million tons in June, down 15.7 percent compared to the same month in 2013.

The company revealed in a report that its gas sales into the power sector were at 1.14 million tons, a drop of 24.1 percent on year, while its city gas sales were down 2.8 percent on year to 954,000 mt.

Kogas plans to cut 10.5 trillion won in debt by 2017 through asset sales and the reorganization of its business operations.
