Kogas LNG imports drop 9.7 pct

Kogas of South Korea said its LNG imports in the first nine months of this year totaled 26.61 million tonnes, down 9.7 percent compared to the same period in 2013.

The world’s largest corporate buyer of LNG revealed in a report on Thursday that its domestic sales also dropped 9.6 percent to 25.09 million tonnes in the mentioned period.

Gas sales into the power sector were at 12.34 million tonnes, a drop of 10.6 percent on year, while its city gas sales were down 8.6 percent on year to 12.75  million tonnes.
