Kogas LNG imports drop in first half of 2015

Kogas of South Korea said it has imported 16.54 million tons of LNG in the first half of 2015, a 17.1% drop compared to the 19.96 million tons the company imported in the same period in the previous year. 

Out of the total imported volumes in the period, 9.77 million tons were imported in the first quarter while 6.77 million tons of LNG were imported in the second quarter of 2015.

In its report, Kogas informed that LNG sales in the first half of 2015 amounted to 17.23 million tons of liquefied natural gas. This is a drop of 7.4% compared to the same period in 2014 when the company sold 18.61 million tons.
