Kogas posts higher sales in July

South Korea’s Kogas, the world’s second-largest buyer of LNG, reported a rise of 15.2 percent in its sales volume in July.

Kogas sold 2.19 million tonnes of LNG in July this year, compared with 1.90 million tonnes a year ago, the company said in a filing to the stock exchange.

Gas sales into the power sector reached 1.29 million tonnes, a 28.1 percent rise from 1.01 million tonnes during the same month in 2015.

City gas sales dropped 1.4 percent on year, reaching 875,000 tonnes of LNG, Kogas said.
