LICengineering to Oversee Pile Test Campaign off Le Tréport

Danish design and consultancy company LICengineering A/S has been selected by Éoliennes en Mer Dieppe et Le Tréport to review and supervise pile test campaign for the 496MW Le Tréport offshore wind farm.

The wind farm will comprise 62 8MW turbines installed over an area of 78.8 km².

It will be located 15,5 kilometres off the coast of Le Tréport, at depths of between 5 and 25 metres.

Construction work on the wind farm is expected to start in 2019, on condition that the relevant authorisations are obtained, and the wind farm is scheduled for commissioning in 2021.

According to the wind simulations for the proposed construction zone, the turbines will be in operation about 90 % of the time, and work at full capacity for 40% of the year, the developers said.

Eoliennes en mer Dieppe et Le Tréport is a partnership between Engie (47%) EDP Renewables (43%), and Caisse des Dépôts (10%).
