Lithuania: Klaipeda LNG regas volume plunge in March

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification volumes at Lithuania’s first and only import terminal in the port of Klaipeda slipped in March.

According to the data reported by the terminal operator Klaipedos Nafta, during the month of March, the facility regasified and reloaded 0.09 TWh of natural gas, 81.1 percent below the 0.5 TWh recorded in March 2018.

For the January-March period, the facility regasified and reloaded 0.74 TWh of natural gas 32.7 percent below the 1.1 TWh reported in the first three months of 2018.

Sales revenue from the facility increased 19.1 percent in March reaching €5.6 million ($6.29 million) which compares to €4.7 million in March 2018.

Sales revenue for the first three months of 2019 rose 9 percent from €16.6 million in 2018 to €18.1 million in 2019.
