Lithuania: Klaipedos Nafta Signs Deal to Connect LNG Terminal to Pipeline System

Klaipedos Nafta said that on 8 March 2013 the company and Lietuvos Dujos have executed a service agreement on LNG terminal’s connection to the operating natural gas transmission system.

“Following the agreement the parties agreed, that in accordance with established technical parameters the company shall have a right to connect the LNG terminal to the natural gas transmission system and shall have a right to use the natural gas transmission system as of 3 December 2014,” Klaipedos Nafta said in a statement.

Höegh LNG has last year entered into a ten year time charter with Klaipėdos Nafta for a floating LNG storage and regasification unit to be used as an LNG import terminal in Lithuania.
