Mainprize Places WFSV Order with Walker Marine

Mainprize Offshore has placed an order for two wind farm service vessels (WFSVs) with Walker Marine Design.

According to Mainprize Offshore, the MO6 and MO7 WFSVs will be built by Shipbuilding Asia, representing the company’s first project with this shipyard.

Following the success of the MO5, the vessels follow its design principal but with a series of improvements to increase transit and transfer capability, as well as CPP propulsion, the company said.

The vessels will be 25.7 meters long and will have a deck cargo of 40 tonnes, as well as a fuel oil capacity of 45,000 liters.

They will feature 2 Caterpillar C32 main engines and 2 x 4 blade CPP propulsion.
