Monaco Marine Eyes New Shipyard in La Seyne-sur-Mer

Monaco Marine group, the Ports Toulon Provence port authority and its concession-holder CCI du Var have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the redevelopment of the Bois Sacré shipyard site in Toulon Harbour near La Seyne sur Mer, France.

Monaco Marine proposes to redevelop part of this site, covering almost 30,000 m2 in total, and to create two separate zones that will be home to various activities related to the maintenance, repair and refit of sail and motor yachts from 10m to 60m LOA.

Multihull area: the first centre dedicated entirely to catamarans in the Mediterranean area

The catamaran market currently represents one of the busiest areas of the market, both new and second-hand. A system of hydraulic jacks will allow 12-15 vessels to be placed in dry dock at the same time.

Superyacht area: technical areas (onshore and afloat) for yachts from 20m to 60m

The site will benefit from lifting equipment capable of handling loads of up to 300 tonnes and is ideally located to supplement the range of services offered by Monaco Marine and our floating and onshore infrastructure available between Saint-Tropez and La Ciotat.

Overall, Monaco Marine expects 40 direct jobs and 100 indirect jobs to be created. In partnership with the regional authorities, Monaco Marine is fully committed to environmental protection. As part of its environmental efforts, it has obtained Ports Propres (clean ports) certification for all of its sites.
