Mooloolah River Dredging Works Progressing Well (Australia)

Australian dredging contractor Hall Contracting Pty Ltd is progressing well on dredging works at the Mooloolah River entrance on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Using the 400mm Cutter Suction Dredger “Navua”, Hall is clearing approximately 30,000m3 of sand from the river mouth and using it to replenish the popular tourist beach.

Weather conditions are unfavourable at times but the “Navua” copes well with the swell working on a Christmas tree arrangement.

Hall contracting is Australia’s biggest dredging contractor operating a fleet of 7 dredgers plus support equipment across Australia, the Pacific Islands and South East Asia.

Recently they launched the newest addition to the fleet, “Eastern Aurora”, a 7500 KW Cutter Suction Dredger with 1000 KW cutter power.
