Norway’s oil production in August beats NPD’s forecast

Norway oil production August 2015The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has released preliminary production figures for August 2015 that show an average daily production of about 1 924 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate.

This is 29 000 barrels per day (about 1.5 percent) less than July 2015.

Total gas sales were about 9.7 billion Sm3, which is the same as previous month.

The average daily liquid production in August was: 1 559 000 barrels of oil, 323 000 barrels of NGL and 42 000 barrels of condensate. The oil production is 4.0 percent above the oil production in August last year.

The oil production is about 13.5 percent above the NPD’s prognosis for the month.

The total petroleum production for the first eight months in 2015 is about 150.0 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about  59.9 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 14.8 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 75.4 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. The total volume is 8.4 MSm3 o.e. higher than for the same period in 2014.

Final production figures from July 2015 show an average daily production of about 1.567 million barrels of oil, 0.386 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 9.7 billion Sm3 saleable gas production.
