Oconto City Council OKs Preliminary Dredging Work

The Oconto City Council has approved the first steps toward dredging the harbor next year, reports greenbaypressgazette.com.

The council on November 20 approved a contract with Foth, a Green Bay engineering firm, for designing and permitting, specifications and bidding and for permitting the disposal of dredged material on a 20-acre site on Van Hecke Avenue.

The total cost is not to exceed $93,500, but will be less because Director of Public Services Jeremy Wusterbarth will do some of the work on preparing forms and information.
