BP’s Tangguh LNG plant located in Teluk Bintuni Regency in Papua Barat province of Indonesia started production in 2009.

The project involves the development of six gas fields in the Wiriagar, Berau and Muturi Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) in Bintuni Bay, Papua Barat.

Currently, work is ongoing to expand the plant through the addition of a third train that will add 3.8 million tonnes per annum liquefaction capacity to Tangguh, bringing total capacity to 11.4 mtpa.
