Picture of the day: Santos GLNG production trains

Santos’ recently informed that its GLNG project on Curtis Island off Gladstone has reached the 95% completion mark.

The company said that it expects to produce first LNG from the facility in the third quarter of this year.

When fully operational, the facility’s production trains will have the capacity to produce 7.8 million tons of LNG per year.

The work is nearing completion and the company said the piping and cabling in the facility’s LNG processing units totals 220km, which is the distance from Gladstone to Rockhampton and back.
