Port of Tallinn approves LNG bunkering terminal

State-owned Port of Tallinn approved on Tuesday the construction of a small-scale liquefied natural gas bunkering terminal in the Muuga port, Estonia.

The LNG receiving, fuelling and distribution terminal is expected to be completed in early 2017.

The cost of the terminal will be around 20 million euros, according to a statement by Port of Tallinn.

It will be constructed by Dutch terminal operator Vopak , who signed a deal back in 2012 with Estonia’s Elering to develop the LNG bunkering terminal at Muuga port.
