Portsmouth to Host Offshore Wind Talks

Paul Williamson, director of Maine Ocean & Wind Industry Initiative, is to hold a presentation on opportunities posed by the development of offshore wind technology and power production for the Gulf of Maine region on Wednesday.

The event called “Building a Sustainable Seacoast Economy with Offshore Wind Power” is another in series sponsored by Seacoast Anti-Pollution League.

“We are thrilled to have one of the foremost authorities on offshore wind power’s economic development potential speak here, and we urge anyone interested in the opportunities for ocean renewable energy development and offshore wind in particular to come hear what he has to say,” said Doug Bogen, executive director of SAPL.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Portsmouth Public Library starting at 6:30 p.m.
