Public Comments Invited on EA Process for LNG Canada Project

LNG Canada said it is undergoing a thorough environmental assessment (EA), as required by federal and provincial legislation.

One of the first steps in the environmental assessment (EA) process is to develop Application Information Requirements (AIR), a document that describes the studies, methods, and information that will be required in LNG Canda’s future Application for an Environmental Assessment Certificate.

This step includes a 30-day public comment period hosted by the EAO to seek comments on the draft AIR.

LNG Canada, a joint venture between Shell, KOGAS. Mitsubishi and PetroChina, is proposing to construct and operate a natural gas liquefaction facility and marine terminal in the District of Kitimat, B.C.
