RasGas Delivers LNG Cargo to Korea

RasGas of Qatar said that the Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Ltd (3) (RL3), has delivered the first LNG cargo under the new long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement with Korea Gas (Kogas).

The agreement was signed and executed in February and is the third long-term SPA between the two companies.

Under the terms of this SPA, RL 3 will deliver 2 million tonnes of LNG per annum to Kogas for 20 years.

Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, RasGas Managing Director, said: “The delivery of this first cargo under the recently executed long-term SPA with Kogas is both a momentous and happy occasion. RasGas is committed to the safe and reliable production and delivery of LNG to our customers worldwide. This latest and prompt delivery is a further demonstration of that.”

Khalid Sultan Al Kuwari, RasGas’ Marketing and Shipping Executive, said: “Kogas is the foundation customer of RasGas LNG and this SPA demonstrates our unsurpassed commitment to the LNG industry and our long-term LNG customers in meeting their growing LNG and broader energy demand.”
