Russia: Gazprom Considers New Projects in Primorsky Krai

Vladivostokhosted today a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Sergey Darkin, Governor of the Primorsky Krai.

The parties discussed a number of issues concerning cooperation deepening between Gazprom and the Krai Administration in connection with finalized construction of the first startup complex at the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas transmission system (GTS) in the third quarter of 2011 and commissioning of the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field in 2012 as part of the Sakhalin III project.

An emphasis was placed, inter alia, on preparation of the Primorsky Krai gas supply facilities for gas deliveries from the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok GTS. It is projected to start gas deliveries from the GTS in September 2011.

Alexander Ananenkov and Sergey Darkin also discussed the progress with the feasibility study being jointly developed by Gazprom and its foreign partners for the LNG capacities project in the Primorsky Krai.

The meeting paid special attention to possible construction of plants that would produce methanol and mineral fertilizers in the region.

Special attention was paid to Gazprom’s efforts on pre-development of the Chayandinskoye field that would supply natural gas to the Primorsky Krai consumers as well.

Sergey Darkin expressed gratitude to Gazprom for the assistance in constructing a versatile concert and sports center in Vladivostok as well as arranging the Pacific Meridian: Vladivostok International Film Festival of Asia-Pacific Countries.
