Russia to Invest in Oil, Gas Projects in Iran

According to Russia’s energy minister, Zarubezhneft has expressed its desire to take part in oil and gas projects in Iran.

Iran has invited Russian companies to take part in developing some of its oil and gas fields, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak have signed a deal for more cooperation between their countries in the energy sector, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

The agreement was signed after the 10th Russian-Iranian joint economic commission in the Russian capital, Moscow.

The deal includes cooperation in the fields of energy, oil, gas, petrochemical industry, electricity, water and renewable energy resources.

The Iranian and Russian officials also signed some documents on environment protection.
