Santos GLNG 95 pct complete

Santos of Australia said that its GLNG project on Curtis Island off Gladstone is approaching 95% completion and is expected to produce first LNG around the end of the third quarter this year.

Previous guidance for first LNG was in the second half of this year, the company said in a statement.

Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer David Knox said the project has progressed well and is expected to be delivered on time and within theĀ US$18.5 billion budget.
