Serbia: Vahali Service & Marine to Launch New Passenger Vessel ANTONIO BELLUCCI

On Thursday, 4. of August 2011, a ceremony related to the christening and launching of passenger vessel MPS Antonio Bellucci will be held at Vahali’s Belgrade shipyard. The guest of honor of the ceremony will be Mrs. Odilia Stokvis, spouse of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Serbia, who will have the honor to baptize the vessel.

After the official program, guests and employees are invited to join the ceremonial dinner and afterparty. This shipbuilding project, passenger vessel MPS Antonio Bellucci, is the first order of the dutch-swiss company Mediship AG.

The production started in February 2011. The steel hull (750t) will be finished on the 1st of August 2011 and the vessel will be ready for launching scheduled for the 4th of August 2011. The vessel will then make its way to the Netherlands where the final works will take place until March 2012. This vessel designed for river sails, 110m long and 11,4m wide, will be able toaccommodate 140 passengers in 70 cabins during luxury cruises from Amsterdam to the Black Sea.
