Socar worker dies in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR has informed that one of its workers died in an incident at the Oil Rocks field, in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

The company said that the incident occurred around 3 p.m. on March 15 during the repair works, when four workers fell into the sea. Three were immediately recovered, and are in a stable condition.

However, it took divers four hours to find the fourth worker. His body was recovered around 7 p.m., Socar said in a press release. The worker was identified as Musa Hajiyev, 58.

Socar is investigating the cause of the accident.
