South Korea: DSME Celebrates Safety Milestone

 DSME Celebrates Safety Milestone

Hull No. 6049 Clov FPSO achieved 10 million safe working hours without losing any time to injuries. The Owner and DSME members celebrated this record by holding a safety greeting campaign on 10th January.

In spite of the cold weather, Clov site members including Mrs. Genevieve Mouillerat project director of Total Clov and DSME executives participated in this commemorative event.

Mrs. Genevieve Mouillerat said, “Congratulations to Total and DSME for achieving 10 million safe working hours. It is the remarkable result of the dedicated efforts of both companies. I wish everyone at DSME peace and happiness in the New year. ”

DSME successfully signed $1.81 billion contract to build an FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage & Offloading Unit) for TOTAL which is a leading European oil company on August 23rd. The FPSO facility will measure 305 meters in length, 61 meters in width, and will weigh 110,000 tons. It is scheduled for delivery in May of 2013 and oil production will start in the middle of 2014.
