Suezmax Almi Explorer Delivered from DSME

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering’s Okpo Shipyard has delivered the sixth Suezmax of Almi’s newbuilding programme, the 157.787 DWT Almi Explorer. Tanker Almi Explorer is an Eco-friendly vessel, a further development of Almi Horizon delivered back in 2011.

Among other eco-friendly technologies on board, the Almi Explorer is equipped with a MAN B&W 6S70ME-C8.2 engine and Hyde Marine’s Filtration and UV Radiation Ballast Water Treatment System.

Overall, the vessel was designed in accordance to the latest regulations and industry requirements in order to satisfy customer needs. As mentioned before, special emphasis was placed on creating an environmentally friendly design and the Almi Explorer was issued all necessary environmental regulations’ Compliance Certificates by Lloyd’s Register, including a Green Passport, to aid safer and more environmentally sound recycling on board the ship. The vessel specifications reflect Almi Tankers’ aim of ensuring reliable and efficient operation throughout the vessel’s life. The Almi Explorer flies the Liberian flag and is classed under Lloyd’s Register.
