Tangguh LNG environmental analysis approved

BP’s Tangguh LNG in West Papua got the approval of Indonesia’s Environment Ministry for the company’s environmental analysis assessment.

The assessment was one of the requirements that would allow the expansion of Tangguh’s LNG production capacity to be increased to 11.4 metric tons.

The company, in a statement, thanked the relevant administrations  for cooperation in reaching this achievement.

Tangguh LNG is the first fully-vertically integrated LNG operation in Indonesia, producing gas from Papua Barat offshore and delivering LNG to customers around Asia and the US.
